Inauguration of Administrator Officials, Supervisory Officials, and Functional Officials in the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia

The Secretary General (Sesjen) of the Ministry of Culture (Kemenbud), Prof. Dr. Bambang Wibawarta, S.S., M.A, inaugurated several administrator officials, supervisory officials, and functional officials within Kemenbud on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Graha Insan Berprestasi (Building A Floor I) of the Kemendikbudristek Complex, Senayan Jakarta.

Sesjen urged all appointed officials to carry out their duties to the best of their abilities according to the responsibilities given. Out of the 96 officials inaugurated, there are 25 administrator officials, 25 supervisory officials, and 46 functional officials within the Ministry of Culture.

In his speech, Sesjen stated that the inauguration of administrator and supervisory officials within the Ministry of Culture was carried out to fill positions at the Cultural Preservation Centers in 23 regions, including museums and cultural heritage sites, the Film Censorship Institute, and the Cultural Media Center. Meanwhile, functional officials include Cultural Promoters, Planners, Budget Analysts, and Human Resource Assessors for Apparatus.

Furthermore, Sesjen hopes that this inauguration is not just a ceremony but part of the organizational dynamics that require all of us to continue to adapt to the challenges of the times and provide the best service to the community, impacting the advancement of culture in Indonesia.

Sesjen emphasized that the positions held are not rights but mandates, so in carrying out their duties, officials must have high integrity to achieve the Ministry of Culture's policies at the technical level.

In addition, the Secretary General highlighted that the Heads of Cultural Preservation Centers serving in each region are the spearheads and extensions of the Ministry of Culture as a tangible proof of the government's presence in the regions.

Sesjen invited all officials to uphold professionalism, remain productive, maintain a spirit of creativity, and create innovations amidst the challenges of budget efficiency and policy changes. Limitations are not an excuse to stop innovating and to maintain productivity in their work.

The Ministry of Culture encourages the birth of innovations from every line, starting from program management, community involvement, to the utilization of digital technology. "Let us realize the spirit of innovation in real actions!" said Bambang Wibawarta.

At the end of his speech, Sesjen advised the officials who will serve in the regions to always uphold the good name of the Ministry of Culture, build good communication with local governments, communities, and local cultural actors, be present partners, listen, work together, and seek the best solutions. "You are the extension of the center and the bridge between policy and reality on the ground, be a visionary leader who is not only skilled in governance but also fluent in reading local wisdom as a source of policy inspiration," he concluded his remarks.
